Chelsea Green celebrated her title win on WWE SmackDown, and a familiar foe crashed the party.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green defeated Michin to become the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Championship. The match marked the finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion.
Green celebrated her win on the December 27 episode of WWE SmackDown. Piper Niven introduced Green, who came to the ring dressed like the Statue of Liberty. Green discussed her win and bragged about her success. She also said that she was turning the blue brand into the Green house.
She was then interrupted by Michin, who noted that she would be the champion if not for Niven. Michin took the fight to Niven with a kendo stick, but Green escaped. Still, it was clear that Michin still had her sights set on the gold moving forward.
