Tay Melo will soon be back in action.
In November 2023, Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara welcomed their daughter Luna into the world. Now over a year later, Melo is gearing up for her in-ring return, which will take her overseas to Japan.
“After two long years, I’m finally back,” Melo said in a video posted to X. “I could not ask for a better Christmas gift. I’m going to Japan. I’m going to STARDOM. And I’m not going alone because I’m bringing my little me with me. Don’t you want to say hi? Do you want to tell them we’re going to Japan? We’re going to Japan. We’re going to Japan. Happy holidays, you all. Thank you so much for all the support. And I’ll see you all January 3rd in Japan.”
According to STARDOM’s website, Melo’s return match will take form in tag team competition at their January 3 New Year Dream event. She and former Artist of STARDOM Champion Mina Shirakawa will specifically face Goddesses of STARDOM Champion Thekla and Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena. For Melo and Athena, this will mark their official STARDOM debuts. Two days later, Athena and Shirakawa will compete at AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty.
Melo last wrestled in March 2023 as she and Guevara defeated Encore and Tiara James at a Northeast Wrestling’s Wrestlefest event. Melo previously revealed that she gained clearance to compete again back in August 2024.
