The Rock Explains His Desire To Give People Willy Wonka Moments

The Rock is a big fan of the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

WWE Superstar The Rock was a recent guest on Artist Friendly with Joel Madden. While discussing giving gifts to those in need, Rock spoke about one of his favorite movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and how he wants to give people those kinds of moments.

“It’s about letting them experience what our dreams were when we didn’t have shit,” The Rock said. “And that’s cool. People always ask, ‘Hey, what’s your top five movies?’ And one of my top five movies is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, right? And there’s a gazillion reasons why that movie is amazing, the original with Gene Wilder.

“But that moment at the end where he tells Charlie, ‘You did it. You got it all.’ And Charlie’s like, ‘Wait, what? Even Grandpa Joe?’ He’s like, ‘Grandpa Joe too. Everybody moves in. You got the entire Chocolate Factory.’ I love shit like that. So in those moments, surprising somebody with a car, a truck, or this, or that, whatever it is that’s a Willy Wonka moment, man.”
