Bo Dallas On His Current Run With The Wyatt Sicks: I Had To Do This For My Brother

Bo Dallas says his current run has been more than cathartic, as it has helped him following the loss of his brother Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt.

In June, Uncle Howdy made his first WWE appearance since Bray Wyatt’s death. Portrayed by Bo Dallas, Howdy led a group of terrifying characters through a series of backstage assaults before making his way to the ring.

This came nearly a year after the death of his brother, Bray Wyatt. He was the brains behind the group and worked with Bo Dallas before his illness and eventual death.

Bo Dallas spoke with Dead Meat Presents about the debut of the Wyatt Sicks. He said he felt cathartic portraying the character and felt the presence of his brother before he walked out on stage for the first time.

“I knew I had to do this for my brother and for myself.” Bo Dallas said. “But at that point, I was still working through things. And I still am. I didn’t know how I was going to handle it that night. I had been wrestling for almost 15 years at that point, and I’d done a lot, but I didn’t know if I could handle the moment—going out live and feeling everything.”

“The night before that shot, I’m standing in the hallway, the lights start coming on, and you hear that one note—Dun. I didn’t know how I was going to react. And I swear to you, I felt like my brother was with me. I went from thinking, ‘Can I do this?’ to feeling more confident, more powerful, and more sure than I’ve ever felt in my life. I knew I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing.”

“Then, to walk out and see the arena filled, with the lights and the fireflies—it’s been more than cathartic. It’s helped me in so many ways.” Added Bo Dallas.
