Grade: B+
Great opening segment. McIntyre and Zayn are both amazing on the mic and even thought Zayn NEVER beat McIntyre, it’s hard not to want to see it.
Backstage, Sonya Deville demands Adam Pearce give her Kairi Sane’s Women’s IC Title tournament spot. Pearce say, hell no. Deville is part of the reason Sane isn’t able to compete, so he’s not going to reward Deville for causing this mess. Pearce has given Sane’s spot to IYO SKY.

Grade: B
This was a solid triple threat match. Again, they managed to avoid one person disappearing into a void for long stretches, which is the number one reason triple threats are hard to pull off. Given the limited time, there was no space for any of that, so all three women went at full speed the entire time. Natalya winning would have been nice, but Fyre or SKY makes more sense one paper. Not sure why Fyre doesn’t get more chances to work in the ring. She is one of the most underrated in-ring talents they have. They are wasting her.

Winner- Chad Gable
After the match, Gable refuses to break the hold. Otis makes the save.
Grade: C+
Standard stuff here. Gable and Tozawa are both good in the ring, but this American Made/Alpha Academy feud should have happened months ago. The start and stop between Gable and Otis was nonsensical and revisiting it now doesn’t hold the same weight as it outl have had months ago.

This was a fun short match. The ending was overbooked, but in the best way possible.
Dexter Lumis vs. The Miz
Miz tries to run away. Lumis catches him and works him over. AoP and Karrion Kross appear and attack Lumis, causing a disqualification.
Winner- Dexter Lumis
After the match, The Wyatt Sicks make the save.
Grade: C-
Nothing against either superstar, but this was boring and predictable and the second DQ finish of the night. Maybe make it a count out? Mix it up a bit.

Grade: A
This stuff is gold. The New Day were inching towards stale as a… as a… something really stale. They are now the biggest bad guys in the company. This is the definition of wrestling cinema.

Grade: B-
Zayn and McIntyre put on good matches, but they don’t need to fight again for a very long time. Tonight was a tale of repeated finishes. If it wasn’t a DQ, there was interference after the fact. Seems both shows are in a holding pattern till the Netflix debut.
WWE Raw Review:
Raw delivered solid in-ring action and decent story progression. Wtih that said, the repetitive interference finishes and pacing issues held the show back. Drew McIntyre and The New Day’s segments were the standout moments, showcasing excellent character work and advancing major storylines. WWE is clearly setting the stage for larger developments, but it feels like the this show is in a holding pattern. The first Raw on Nextflix HAS to make up some of this slowness worth it.
