Triple H looks back on WWE working with Bad Bunny and reveals what prompted WWE to talk to him.
Bad Bunny had a prominent run in WWE in the first few months of 2021, and he competed at WWE WrestleMania 37. He later returned in 2023 and faced Damian Priest at WWE Backlash.
Speaking on The Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson & Josh Hart, Bad Bunny came up in the conversation, and Triple H revealed that seeing Bad Bunny do his entrance at an NBA game was the catalyst for WWE talking to him. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“That’s one of the first times I realized how big of a WWE star….I obviously knew who he was and his music,” he said. “I saw that clip and was like, ‘He’s a big WWE fan.’ That’s what started us talking to him.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when Bad Bunny will return to WWE.
Logan Paul On Bad Bunny
Logan Paul previously praised Bad Bunny while speaking on Impaulsive. He noted that they were different, and Bad Bunny had no business being as good as he was.
“It’s hard, though. I think cajones is the right word,” Paul said. “Not a lot of people can do that. The difference [between us] is this, though. This is what I say to people who are trying to compare me and Bad Bunny in WWE. I wrestled in high school. I did sports and athletics. I am a YouTuber, but I’m an athlete. I was an athlete first, I always have been. I didn’t box before, but I wrestled. I can still surprise people because I’m a YouTuber first, but I was an athlete first. Bunny is a musician, dude. He has no business being as good as he is. He comes in there and he crushes it.”
