Athena’s lengthy reign as the ROH Women’s World Champion will continue following her win at ROH Final Battle.
At ROH Final Battle, Athena and Billie Starkz main evented the pay-per-view for the second year in a row. In a rematch of their match from the 2023 event, Starkz put the ROH Women’s World Championship on the line against Starkz. Starkz threw everything she had at the champion, but Athena just enough a little help and secured the victory. Lexy Nair interfered, and Athena sent Starkz into an exposed turnbuckle. Athena then hit Starkz with the O-Face for the win.

Starkz spikes Athena with a piledriver. Starkz drops Athena with a forearm. She slams Athena on the apron and hits a Swanton to the outside. Starkz gets Athena back in the ring and slams her for a two-count. Athena sends Starkz over the ropes, and she lands hard on the floor. The referee helps up Starkz, but Athena dives onto them both. Athena gets a microphone from Lexy Nair, but Athena kicks it out of her hand. Starkz spikes Starkz with a Poisonrana. Athena sends Starkz into an exposed turnbuckle and hits the O-Face for the win.
Athena’s Title Reign
Athena won the ROH Women’s World Championship by beating Mercedes Martinez at ROH Final Battle 2022. She has reigned supreme ever since, and her reign now spans over 70 days. Athena has headlined multiple pay-per-views throughout her reign. She will represent ROH in the International Women’s Cup at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.
