Kevin Owens appeared on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, and explained his attack on Cody Rhodes while holding the Winged Eagle belt he stole.
In a video package that aired tonight, Owens said that he did what he did on WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event — leaving Cody Rhodes injured after an attack — because it was a travesty what happened in the ring, when Rhodes used a steel chair to beat him.
Owens said that people keep saying he “snapped” on Rhodes, but that he hasn’t snapped yet at all, and no one wants to see him when he does.
Owens said things could get “so much worse” than they were on Saturday, and ended the brief video by warning the WWE Universe that whatever happens next is completely on Rhodes, Nick Aldis, and the WWE higher ups.
