Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made his first appearance since WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, and he was seen sporting a neck brace.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Rhodes beat Kevin Owens to retain his title. Owens attacked Rhodes after the bell, and the champion was taken out on a stretcher.
After the event, WWE announced that Rhodes had suffered an “axial compression of the cervical spine, as well as a cervical strain with spasm.” No timetable for his return was announced.
Cody Rhodes appeared at an event for his wife Brandi’s Naked Mind Yoga & Pilates company this past week. In photos shared by those in attendance, Rhodes was posing for photos while also wearing a neck brace.
Over the past week, Owens has repeatedly referred to himself as the true WWE Champion following his match with Rhodes. He has been carrying around the Winged Eagle Title as well.
