Tokyo Sports Pro Wrestling Awards proudly honored Sareee with the prestigious Women’s Wrestling Grand Prize for 2024. This marks her first win in the category and the first time in six years that the winner was not a competitor from STARDOM.
Sareee visited Tokyo Sports’ office in Koto Ward to formally accept her award. Tokyo Sports reported that she received her award with great emotion, saying “I’ve been aiming for this award ever since I became a professional wrestler, so I’m really happy that my dream has come true. This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
The Sun God proceeded to address her fans in a video on her official YouTube channel to thank them for their support. She also thanked her past opponents for their unrivaled passion in in-ring competition. Giulia, who previously faced Sareee for the inaugural Marigold World Championship prior to her move to NXT, publicly congratulated her on the award via Twitter.
This past year saw Sareee continue her Beyond the Sea Singles Championship reign under the SEAdLINNNG promotion while becoming Marigold‘s inaugural World Champion. She also holds the Sukeban World Championship, making her a three belt champion as of the time of writing. On top of her championship success, she has also produced several sold out Sareee-ISM produce shows at Shinjuku FACE throughout the year. She now looks to continue her hot streak as a wrestling promoter with Sareee-ISM Chapter VI headlined by herself and Meiko Satomura in singles action.
