Fans might not have to wait much longer to see Kenny Omega return to AEW.
The former AEW World Champion has not wrestled since December 2023, as he has been sidelined with diverticulitis. Onega made a one-off return in May, and he was attacked by Te Elite. He appeared at NJPW Power Struggle, where he got into an altercation with Gabe Kidd. He then agreed to make his in-ring return at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, where he will face Kidd. However, there has been no word on when he will return to AEW.
During the December 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, the broadcast team highlighted Kenny Omega’s match at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. They also made it clear that they hoped to see him back in AEW very soon. Omega was then hyped up in a video package.
