Kevin Owens made a surprise appearance at the WWE RAW on Netflix Kickoff event, and he had the Winged Eagle Title with him.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. After the match, Owens attacked Rhodes and hit him with a piledriver. Owens then took the Winged Eagle Title that Rhodes wore to the ring with him.
At the WWE RAW on Netflix Kickoff event, Kevin Owens appeared, and he was carrying the Winged Eagle Title. He called himself the “true, rightful WWE Champion” and noted that he wasn’t invited to be there.
Owens said that he had to sneak in, but he belonged there. He reiterated that he was the WWE Champion, and he raised the title. Owens was escorted to the back after he raised the title again. He also said that he had the best moveset in a playful nod to CM Punk.
Kevin Owens previously called himself the true WWE Champion on social media. He promoted WWE’s holiday loop and said that he would be competing there as the “new, true WWE Champion”.
