Mariah May Is ‘All In’ On AEW, Not Exploring Outside Opportunities

Mariah May is committed to AEW and isn’t looking for opportunities in modelling or movies.

The English star has had a blockbuster first year in the promotion. She came into the company as a fan of Toni Storm and helped her retain the AEW Women’s Championship over a number of months.

However, she turned on her friend after winning the Owen Hart Classic. Mariah May went on to beat Toni Storm to become the AEW Women’s Champion in her home country at AEW All In 2024. She has been a huge success in AEW and isn’t looking to ply her trade anywhere else.

Mariah May recently sat down with Niko Exxtra and was asked if she was planning to look into modelling or film opportunities now she has become a champion in AEW.

The AEW Women’s Champion said she is “all in” on AEW, revealing that her dream was to be a wrestler in the promotion.

“I’m focused on myself right now. No pun intended, but I’m all in. You know, they gave me my life here in America, and that was always my dream as a kid. I knew I wanted to be an entertainer, a wrestler, which kind of felt impossible, but clearly, it’s not.”

“It was my dream to come here, and they’ve given me that opportunity. In my rookie year, they gave me a platform, and yes, I’ve delivered, but they gave me the chance to prove myself. I’m very committed to AEW and to building a legacy.”

Mariah May: I’m Looking Forward To Dedicating The Next Few Years To AEW

“For me, it was tough. I had this kind of crisis where I thought, ‘Okay, in my first year with the company, I won the world title in my hometown at our biggest show. So now, where do I go? How do I top that?’ But the exciting thing is, AEW is still so new.”

“We forget that this company wasn’t here five years ago. It’s grown so much that it feels like it’s been around forever, but it hasn’t. When we have anniversary shows, I stop and think, ‘Wait, it’s only been five years?’ It’s crazy.”

“For me, that’s exciting. We’re going to have so many firsts and create so much history. Being part of that legacy and that growth is something I’m looking forward to dedicating the next few years to.”
