Report: WWE’s Lee Fitting Fired By ESPN Due To Misconduct Allegations, Objectifying Women

More details regarding current WWE producer Lee Fitting‘s departure from ESPN in 2023 have emerged.

According to Katie Strang and Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Fitting was dismissed from his job at ESPN due to misconduct allegations.

Fitting, who worked for ESPN for over 25 years, was reportedly dismissed for “objectifying women, criticizing their physical appearance and making crude jokes, some sexual in nature, in the workplace.”

These actions reportedly went unchecked by ESPN for years until 2023 when a complaint was made to the company’s Human Resources department. This complaint eventually led to his termination on August 21, 2023.

In response to this report, Fitting, via a spokesperson, denied some of the allegations made against him. But chose to not address others, however. Fitting also declined to address why he was terminated from ESPN.

A spokesperson for WWE told The Athletic they had no comment regarding these allegations against Fitting.
