Steven Flowe has gone viral with his hilarious wrestling entrance music.
Parody and rip-off music have always been a big part of professional wrestling. WCW made it their business to rip off as many popular songs as they could for their entrance things, including DDP’s less than subtle “tribute” to Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Meanwhile, parody songs are making a comeback in a big way through TNA’s Joe Hendry. He went viral for his hilarious songs making fun of TNA stars like AJ Francis and Ryan Nemeth, attracting the interest of the WWE.
This has continued onto the independent scene with an indie wrestler named Steven Flowe. He debuted this weekend SuperWrestlers: Unleashed event at Concord Music Hall in Chicago with a look straight out of the 1990s.
Steven Flowe made his entrance covered in flannel. He wore a flannel shirt with a second one tied around his waist. His long hair completed the grunge look, giving him the perfect 1990s throwback gimmick, harkening back to the days of ECW and the Attitude Era.
However, it is his entrance music that ties the whole thing together.
Steven Flowe entered the ring to a parody of the Pearl Jam song “Even Flow.” However, the difference was that all the words were changed to “Steven Flowe” instead of “even flow.” This has gone viral, attracting nearly two million views on the video posted to Twitter.
