Booker T thinks people should stop trying to ‘cancel’ Tessa Blanchard after her return to TNA.
The former TNA World Champion made a shock return to the promotion at TNA Final Resolution 2024. She attacked Jordynne Grace in a move that seen as controversial in the wrestling world.
This is because it came four years after she walked out of the company as the world champion. She was the first woman to hold the TNA World Championship but moved to Mexico with the title after allegations of bullying and racism from women on the TNA roster.
After her return this weekend, Booker T thinks fans should give Tessa Blanchard a chance. The WWE legend spoke on his Hall of Fame Podcast about her comeback, telling people to “get off of it” in trying to cancel her. He explained that nobody knows what went on behind the scenes or if apologies have been made.
Booker T believes Tessa Blanchard deserves another chance
“Tessa Blanchard is back in TNA, and the thing is, man, I’ve already seen criticisms. I just want to put this out there—I’ve already seen people trying to cancel her again. Man, y’all need to get off of it. Get off of it. If something was said, if an apology was made, and fences were mended, we should be able to move on. One thing about certain situations, especially when they get out there in the social media sphere—everybody knows about it, but nobody really knows what’s going on. Everybody knows the story, but nobody knows the full context.”
Booker explained that he recently had two women in his Reality Of Wrestling promotion that had issues. He told them to straighten things out, and they did. Booker said social media might have picked up on it, but what they don’t know is the two women did mend fences and now work together again. He believes Blanchard deserves that same chance to fix things.
“So my thing is, guys, let’s get off all this hate. Let Tessa Blanchard, hopefully, try to resurrect her career, go out there, and redo this thing all over again. Let’s just look at it as that—a redo. Let’s give her a chance.”
