Triple H Thanks WWE Legends At Saturday Night’s Main Event For Paving The Way

Triple H has thanked all the legends who made appearances at the historic Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The legendary WWE show returned to TV last week. Legends like Jesse Ventura and Tito Santana appeared on the show, which paid tribute to the long and storied history of the WWE.

Other fun additions to the show included Cody Rhodes bringing back the Winged Eagle WWE Championship belt. Sadly, Kevin Owens walked out at the end of the night with the title after attacking Rhodes following their match.

The show was said to be a huge success, even outdrawing the Rockets vs Thunder NBA Cup game on the same night. The WWE have already committed to quarterly events under the SNME branding, which looks to be a huge win for the company.

The retro branding and legend’s appearance on the show was a huge draw and one Triple H has acknowledged on his social media.

On Twitter, Triple H thanked the host of legends who made appearances at the event. He mentioned Tito Santana, Koko B. Ware, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Jimmy Hart and Jesse Ventura for being on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

#SNME was a chance to look back at some of the best before we launch @WWE into the future. Thank you to Tito, Koko, Hammer, Jimmy, and of course, @GovJVentura for paving the way.”

Triple H: WWE Is Bigger Than The Attitude Era Right Now

Triple H thinks that the WWE is bigger now than during their peak in the Attitude Era.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was a recent guest on The Roommates Show. When asked about the current state of the company, Hunter said he believes they are in a resurgence period right now that’s bigger than the Attitude Era.

“We’re sort of in this resurgence of WWE,” Triple H said. “I was obviously a huge part of the Attitude Era, but right now it’s bigger than it’s ever been. I think it’s bigger than the Attitude Era was even then. It’s amazing the amount of people on a weekly basis that we get to do cool stuff with.” [H/T: Fightful]
