WWE RAW‘s Netflix premiere just got even bigger, as CM Punk and Seth Rollins will finally clash in a singles match.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins went back and forth in a confrontation on the December 16 episode of WWE RAW. They then brawled until they were separated. Backstage, Rollins told Adam Pearce that he wanted a match with Punk. Pearce later made the match official for the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere on January 6.
The match is a long time coming.. Since Punk’s return to WWE last year visibly angered Rollins, they have had a few confrontations. After helping Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline win the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series, Punk again angered Rollins. Rollins took issue with Punk helping Reigns, someone he had worked so hard to stop. Since then, tensions between the two have continued to rise, and the feud will reach a new height on January 6.
Triple H commented on the news on social media. He noted that the match was years in the making.
CM Punk’s match with Rollins is set to be his first televised one-on-one match since WWE Bad Blood. There, he beat Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match.
