KUSHIDA has wrapped up with TNA, according to a new report.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that KUSHIDA finished his current run with the company at their Final Resolution pay-per-view and the following set of television tapings.
KUSHIDA signed with TNA in December 2023, and the deal allowed him to compete for both TNA and NJPW. This was meant to be one of many such deals, but Johnson points out that this initiative went away following the departure of Scott D’Amore.
The report notes that KUSHIDA will be primarily focused on NJPW moving forward, and he left TNA on good terms. Though his contractually done, the door is open for future appearances.
KUSHIDA has wrestled for TNA/IMPACT dating back to 2022, as he has had multiple runs in the company while competing for NJPW as well.
Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select also reported that KUSHIDA was wrapping up with TNA, as he was on his last contracted loop with the company.
KUSHIDA currently holds the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships with Kevin Knight. They will defend the titles at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4.
TNA is currently dealing with multiple departures. Trent Seven and Rhino also wrapped up with the company. Josh Alexander and Jordynne Grace will see their contracts expire soon as well.
