Pat McAfee returned to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. He called the action alongside Michael Cole. He also got the chance to work with Jesse “The Body” Ventura during the show.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee commented on his appearance at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
“It was awesome. I was so lucky and thankful to be back,” Pat McAfee said. “The fact that they even asked me to do it, because I thought we were going Army [versus] Navy, College GameDay, and then found out a few weeks back, not doing it. Somehow, some way, it ended up not happening. I was bummed. So I didn’t get to do that, so then when Saturday Night’s Main Event happens to be the same weekend, conversations took place.
“They’re like, ‘Would you want to do that?’ I’m like, ‘I’m honored that you even asked me to come back.’ So thankful for that. Getting a chance to work with Cole again, getting a chance to come out, to get a chance to feel the WWE Universe and experience the WWE again was awesome. I had so much fun.”

McAfee also highlighted working with WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura.
“Then Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura, I loved him. I enjoyed him,” Pat McAfee said. “His cadence, obviously one that, if you worked more with him, I think you’d be able to catch on a little bit. I almost stepped on him a couple times. But then if you listen to what he’s saying, it’s like, home run. It was great to see him. I had so much watching him work. It was fun, man. I loved it.”
McAfee then highlighted the card and spoke highly of the talent.
Pat McAfee will return to WWE RAW when the show premieres on Netflix on January 6.
