CM Punk shared a moment with Koko B. Ware backstage at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE held WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14. Several legends were in attendance. Koko B. Ware, Tito Santana, Jimmy Hart, and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine were shown in the crowd.
In a digital exclusive, CM Punk commented on his memories of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and noted that it changed the landscape of wrestling. He also highlighted some classic moments from the show.
When asked about seeing legends at the show, CM Punk shared a picture he took with Koko B. Ware, Tito Santana, Jimmy Hart, and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. He then spoke highly of Koko B. Ware.
“To me, obviously the first time I ever saw him was probably Saturday Night’s Main Event or WWE Superstars,” CM Punk said. “But again, being a student of the game and going back and being able to see him, his stuff in Memphis, his early tag stuff, getting a chance to nerd out and take a picture with these guys, it’s why I’m here.
Punk went on to praise Koko B. Ware. Ware walked up and shook hands with Punk.
“Congratulations,” Ware said. “Hey, keep doing a good job, man. All I want to do is sit back and watch you young guys show out.”
Ware then said that hearing Punk speak highly of him felt great, and he was honored.
