Kevin Owens comments on his actions at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Kevin Owens challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes emerged victorious, but Owens viciously attacked him after the bout. Rhodes was stretchered away, and Owens got into a confrontation with Triple H.
In a tweet, Kevin Owens responded to WWE’s post highlighting his attack and rephrased it in his own words.
“After getting screwed out of becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion by incompetent referees, Kevin Owens justifiably gets retribution on The American Person with an often imitated, never truly duplicated, PACKAGE PILEDRIVER just moments after Saturday Night’s Main Event goes off the air to send everyone home happy,” Owens wrote.
Likewise, Kevin Owens responded to WWE’s post that highlighted his confrontation with Triple H and shared his perspective.
“Upon leaving gorilla, Triple H enthusiastically thanks Kevin Owens for the house and tells him how proud he is of Kevin for doing what needed to be done and taking what he truly deserves and proceeds to invite him over to his house for Christmas dinner and to watch #SNME back on a 734 inch tv,” Owens wrote.
Kevin Owens On His Contract Status
Heading into 2025, Owens’ WWE contract is set to expire sooner rather than later. In an interview with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail, Owens was asked about his contract status and whether he’ll be part of WWE’s shows in Europe on the road to WrestleMania 41.
“I don’t think anything is sorted for those shows yet,” Kevin Owens said. “Obviously knowing WWE and knowing how important this is being made for everyone here, this is clearly a big deal to them. Hitting all these European towns and cities back-to-back for three weeks in a row with TV there and big live events. It is a big deal.”
“I just want to be happy. But I can’t tell you what that means exactly, because I don’t actually know it either. I just want to feel fulfilled,” Owens said. “There is a lot that goes into that. It is more intricate than we have time to get into.”
