Chelsea Green Wins WWE Women’s United States Championship At Saturday Night’s Main Event

AND NEW! Chelsea Green is the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion.

Green won the title by beating Michin in the final round of a tournament to crown an inaugural champion. Green won by countering a corner attack by Michin into an Unprettier off the ropes.

This is Green’s first singles title win in WWE. It is also her second women’s world title win, as she had one reign as TNA (IMPACT) Knockouts Champion. She is also a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

On her way to the title, Green also beat Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in a triple threat, and Bayley in the semifinals.

Chelsea Green already has plans for the Women’s US title

Chelsea Green was asked about potentially becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion during an interview with Canucks Central. She already had some potential plans for the title, including how to celebrate with it.

“It really would be [an honor to win the title],” Green said. “The things that the women have done in the past ten years for professional wrestling have been really incredible,” Green said. They’ve really shattered a lot of glass ceilings.

“So to be able to be in this tournament for the first-ever Women’s United States Championship, but then to be able to say that I’m the winner. To be a Canadian winning the United States Championship, it would be an honor really. There’s so many things, of course my creative side of my brain, the wheels get turning. I’m thinking of all the things that I could do before I’ve even won a championship. But I think it would be really amazing to the inaugural champion and bring it back to Vancouver and Vancouver Island.”
