Pat McAfee is back in the WWE fold, as the commentator returned for WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event and took his spot next to Michael Cole at ringside.
The commentator-turned-brief-superstar-turned-commentaor again shocked the crowd at the start of the night, where he was introduced as a member of the commentary team. McAfee came down to the ring and began celebrating with fans, before joining Cole at the commentary table and saying he was happy to be there.
McAfee had been away from WWE since August, when he took some time off to re-join the ESPN College GameDay crew. With that show winding down for the season, McAfee is set to make his return to WWE commentary full-time, where he’ll be a part of WWE RAW’s broadcast team beginning on January 6, when the company airs its first episode on Netflix.
