AEW Collision Results:

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with a discussion backstage between Darby Allin and Will Ospreay. Allin says he needs Ospreay to stand up and join in the fight against the Death Riders. Ospreay says he’s focused on winning the Continental Classic, but after the tournament is done if Allin needs his help, he’ll be there.

International Women’s Cup Qualifier Finals: Jamie Hayter vs. Willow Nightingale

  • The finish of the match saw Willow Nightingale hit Jamie Hayter with the Babe with the Powerbomb to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

After the match, the lights go out and when they come back on Julia Hart is in the ring and takes out Jamie Hayter.

Grade: B+

This was a great way to kick off the show. Nightingale and Hayter got the crowd hot early and set the show on the right path for the rest of the evening. Julia Hart not interfering until after the match was also very welcome. AEW getting Julia Hart and Toni Storm back in the same week is great for their women’s division.

A video package airs recapping Wednesday’s Continental Classic matches.

Continental Classic Blue League: The Beast Mortos vs. Kazuchika Okada

  • The finish of the match saw Kazuchika Okada hit The Beast Mortos with the Rainmaker to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Grade: A-

Kazuchika Okada’s journey in the Continental Classic has been fascinating to me so far. I never expected him to be in this position at the midpoint of the tournament. I like how unexpected things are happening this year which is helping set this tournament apart from last year.

Toni Storm returns to AEW Collision

A video package plays recapping Toni Storm returning this week on Dynamite and having a match last night on Rampage.

Toni Storm vs. Shazza McKenzie

  • The finish of the match saw Toni Storm hit Shazza McKenzie with Storm Zero to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Toni Storm

After the match, Storm got on the microphone and announced that she was officially “All Elite.”

Grade: B

This was a quick match, but important in the progression of Toni Storm’s current storyline. It appears to me that Storm’s mind is taking her on a trip back in time to when she first debuted on AEW. I think we’ll eventually see Timeless Toni Storm again before she gets her rematch against Mariah May at Grand Slam in Australia.

Thunder Rosa challenges Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Worlds End

A video package plays recapping Dynamite’s match between Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. Afterward, Thunder Rosa is backstage with Tony Schiavone. Rosa says she knows in her heart she’s a champion for herself and the people. Toni Storm interrupts and introduces herself to Thunder Rosa and Tony Schiavone. Storm leaves and Rosa challenges May to a match for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Worlds End in a Tijuana Street Fight.

Top Flight (w/ Leila Grey) vs. Lio Rush and Action Andretti

Keep refreshing throughout the evening for live coverage of tonight’s episode of AEW Collision.
