Jesse Ventura discusses returning to WWE and says the company made him feel wanted.
WWE Hall of Famer Hesse Ventura first returned to WWE by attending RAW in July. He then signed a Legends Deal with the company. Ventura will be on commentary at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14. He has said that he will be doing four events a year.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Jesse Ventura was asked about his emotions regarding his WWE return.
“It was give and take,” Ventura said. “I had mixed emotions about it. I will say this, a number of weeks ago, when I first made contact and I went to Raw, and what impressed me the most when I went over there was that when I arrived at the arena, Triple H was there to greet me. He was there, waiting for me. That made me feel wanted, and it made me feel that, you know what, this is where I belong, and this is where it should end when it does end.”
Jesse Ventura On His WWE Legends Deal
Ventura continued by explaining that he wanted to set up a deal that would allow his kids to get some of the “action” from WWE making money off of his name. He emphasized that having his kids benefit from it was important to him.
“I wanted to set up a deal, and the WWE’s the only place it could be done, in their Legends [Deals], that if people make money off my name, I want my kids to get a piece of the action, and that’s what I’ve done now with the WWE,” Jesse Ventura said. “So always remember, the WWE’s gonna benefit from it, but Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura wouldn’t do it if he didn’t from it too. For me, the benefit’s my kids.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as it airs on December 14.
