NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd will face AEW’s Kenny Omega at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. He recently made it clear that he doesn’t care about AEW, as he is focused on NJPW.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Gabe Kidd commented on NJPW’s working relationship with AEW.
“It’s like come on, man, you already took half our roster. What’re you trying to do here? I don’t care about going there. People asked me like, where would you want to go in the future? Man, I don’t give a shit about that. Right now, I’m team New Japan, and I have no problem standing up for my company. But if I want to go over there, they gotta f*cking put me on a main show, at least. Are you stupid?
“I am a superstar. I am a goldmine for New Japan that they’re sitting on right now. So I don’t care about what any of these people who have been in this business longer than me say. I couldn’t give a shit what you say. It’s my way or the highway, bro. I don’t care about AEW, man. What a better way to say f*ck AEW than to beat up an executive vice president there? It’s a win-win for me regardless.”
