JCW has announced a new show that combines wrestling, music and partying, all for charity.
Juggalo Championship Wrestling was founded by Insane Clown Posse members Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Since their inception in 1999, they have been a constant in pro wrestling. Additionally, the rap group has retained a large number of fans from across the United States.
In a Twitter post, the Insane Clown Posse announced their JCW Deck The Jaws event taking place in the Majestic Theatre in Downtown Detroit on December 19.
The event is in aid of charity, with free entry to the show for anybody who donates to the cause. The rules stipulate that anybody who brings in 10 cans of food, a new jacket or an unopened toy to donate will be given entry to the show.
Donations will be given to children who are less fortunate at Christmas. Additionally, the show will also be broadcast on TrillerTV via pay-per-view.
Currently, no wrestlers have been announced for the show yet. However, Sponge’s Vinnie Dombroski will be performing, while JCW have “even more killer performances lined up”.
They also revealed that people who bring all three of the items mentioned for free entry will receive a special present. In addition to free entry, these generous people will receive “an extra special, very fresh, brand-new Holiday CD single direct from Insane Clown Posse.”
This is not the first time JCW has put on shows for charity. The group did a similar thing back in 2015 for St John’s Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
JCW Wants To Be On GCW’s Level, Violent J Admits
Violent J spoke with WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard about his future hopes for JCW. The ICP star admits that he “admires the f*** out of GCW”, and spoke with GCW owner Brett Lauderdale about how they have grown in the industry over the years.
He added that his goal is to get JCW to that level one. Although it might be without the deathmatch aspect GCW is known for.
“I’ve been talking a lot with Brett from GCW. I love picking his brain and I could do that for hours, I like to consider him a friend of mine. And I admire the f*** out of GCW, brother. If I could get my company anywhere, I would like to be where they are to where they put a show on. People know what to expect before they even announce any talent.”
“They know what to expect from GCW. They know you’re going to get a level of entertainment guaranteed from a GCW show. I want JCW to have a similar reputation. But we’re not very big into deathmatches anymore. I personally only like to see deathmatch stuff in like blow-offs and things like that.”
