TNA iMPACT Results

This week’s episode of TNA iMPACT kicks off with a recap of last week’s show.

X-Division Champion Moose comes to the ring. Moose says while Nic Nemeth might be the TNA World Champion, his title doesn’t hold the same prestige that the X-Division Championship has.

Moose is interrupted by Cody Deaner and we get an impromptu match for the X-Division Championship.

TNA X-Division Championship: Moose (c) vs. Cody Deaner

  • The finish of the match saw Moose hit Cody Deaner with the spear to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: And still champion, Moose

Grade: C+

This was a super quick match. Nothing really beyond just a showcase for Moose and the X-Division Championship. I don’t mind the idea of Moose being a fighting champion but they have a long way to go to convince me that this guy actually cares about the title that he holds.

A big six-man tag headlines tonight’s TNA iMPACT!

First Cla$$ and Tasha Steelz are backstage with Gia Miller. The three of them hype up tonight’s match as well as their individual matches tomorrow night at Final Resolution.

We hear from Mike Santana hyping up his match tomorrow night against Josh Alexander at Final Resolution. He’s interrupted by Alexander and the two men go back and forth. The winner of tomorrow’s match will receive a shot at the TNA World Championship next month at Genesis.

Rosemary vs. Xia Brookside

  • The finish of the match saw Rosemary hit Xia Brookside with As Above So Below to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Rosemary

After the match, Rosemary continued her attack on Brookside until Jordynne Grace hit the ring to make the save.

Grade: B

Good match. Nothing really to say about it overall. Just a solid match between two talented competitors. The Final Resolution match between Rosemary and Jordynne Grace should be very entertaining. I would imagine Grace will eat another loss as her deal with the company is up in just a few weeks.

A new match announced for TNA Final Resolution

Trent Seven is backstage and is interrupted by Gia Miller who informs him that he’ll be facing Ace Austin tomorrow night at Final Resolution. Seven says he’s already pinned Austin in a tag match. Ace Austin shows up and reminds Seven that he cheated to pin him in that tag match. Austin says at Final Resolution Seven will know exactly how the alphabet goes.

The Rascalz vs. Laredo Kid and Leon Slater

  • The finish of the match saw The Rascalz hit Laredo Kid with the Soup Kitchen. Zachary Wentz scores the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Rascalz

Grade: B+

This was a very fun tag match. The two teams worked well together and this was certainly the best thing on the show so far tonight. If you’re a fan of any of these performers go out of your way to check this match out.

PCO and Sami Callihan vs. Jake Something and Hammerstone

  • The finish of the match saw Hammerstone utilize a steel chair to disqualify his team.

Winners: Sami Callihan and PCO (via DQ)

Following the match, another “23” video aired on the Tron, leaving both Callihan and PCO confused.

Grade: C

This is what it was. Nothing really beneficial for anyone involved. The disqualification finish made little sense and the “23” video packages don’t make any sense. I’m sure the reveal will be decent and will likely take place at Final Resolution but I’m admittingly already tired of these teases and just hope that the payoff doesn’t disappoint.

Dani Luna (w/ Jody Threat) vs. Heather By Elegance (w/ Ash By Elegance)

  • The finish of the match saw Dani Luna hit Heather by Elegance with Lunar Landing to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Dani Luna

Grade: B-

The typical match you’re gonna get from the “By Elegance” faction. Tons of interference, but tonight it didn’t pay off for them and the babyfaces picked up the win. This tells me Ash and Heather will be winning those Knockouts Tag Team Titles sooner rather than later.

It’s time… for the main event!

Nic Nemeth, Joe Hendry, and Masha Slamovich vs. First Cla$$ and Tasha Steelz

  • The finish of the match saw Nic Nemeth hit Danger Zone on KC Navarro to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Nic Nemeth, Joe Hendry, and Masha Slamovich

Grade: B

AJ Francis attacks Nic Nemeth and leaves him lying as TNA iMPACT goes off the air.

TNA iMPACT Review:

I’ll be honest, if I was a regular fan and this was the show I was given to make me decide if I would be tuning into Final Resolution tomorrow, there’s no way I’d be doing it. This show was very average tonight and I didn’t feel any sense of urgency in making tomorrow’s event feel important.

Putting these events very close together very much lessens their importance and makes them feel like they can be missed without any consequence. I hope TNA does a better job spacing these things out in 2025.

Grade: C+
