Rey Fenix Deletes Tweets About Inhumane Treatment

Rey Fenix made controversial comments about AEW on social media, but he has deleted the posts.

Over the past few days, former AEW World Tag Team Champion Rey Fenix sparked a lot of buzz with his comments on Twitter. He wrote, “No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.” Fenix also said that he needed a doctor for months, and he was ignored. The posts came amid Fenix’s ongoing absence from AEW; he has not wrestled for the company since July. Outside of AEW, Fenix has not competed since CMLL’s event on July 26.

However, Rey Fenix has now deleted his tweets, as they can no longer be seen on his Twitter page. During a Backstage Pass Q& A, WrestleVotes reported that those in WWE were surprised by Fenix’s comments.

Fenix and his brother/tag team partner Penta El Zero Miedo had been linked to WWE earlier in the fall, with Penta reportedly claiming that they were in talks. Penta entered free agency on December 1, while AEW reportedly added injury time to Rey Fenix’s contract, extending it into 2025.

Fenix has been with AEW since 2019. He has held the AEW World Tag Team Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship. Fenix has also won the AEW International Championship and the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
