WWE Confirms NXT New Year’s Evil 2025 Date And Venue

WWE provides more details on the NXT New Year’s Evil special.

During NXT Deadline, WWE NXT General Manager Ava announced that the brand will kick off its 2025 with the return of the New Year’s Evil television special. At the time, Ava noted that the respective event will emanate from Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, with the specific venue left undisclosed.

Earlier today, WWE confirmed (via a press release) that New Year’s Evil will take place at LA’s Shrine Expo Hall, while airing on the CW Network. Furthermore, general ticket sales for the January 7 TV special will begin on Wednesday, January 18 via Shrine Auditorium and www.axs.com. Pre-sale opportunities will be available the day prior, beginning at 10am PT/1pm ET.

So far, two matches have been officially penciled in for New Year’s Evil. Firstly, Roxanne Perez will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against the winner of the latest Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Giulia. Perez previously defeated Giulia, albeit with outside help, on NXT’s CW Network debut. Elsewhere, Trick Williams will put his NXT Championship on the line against the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner, Oba Femi.

The action of NXT New Year’s Evil unfolds just 24 hours away the company kicks off its move to Netflix with a stacked episode of WWE Raw from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Ahead of this premiere, WWE has opened up a Transfer Window, which allows talents from Raw, NXT, and SmackDown to swap brands.
