Sabu: NXT 2300 Was Lame As A ECW Nostalgia Event

Recently, WWE NXT took place at the infamous 2300 Arena, more popularly known as the ECW Arena, in Philadelphia. The show featured a lot of veterans and ECW Legends such as Nunzio, Rob Van Dam, and also WWE Hall of Famers Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. Recently, another ECW Veteran shared his thoughts on the show. It was none other than Sabu.

While speaking in an interview for Covalent TV, Sabu shared his honest thoughts on the NXT 2300 show. He mentioned that while it was a good show, he felt it was lame. The ECW veteran thought that the show didn’t feel like a reunion as neither he nor Sandman were a part of it.

“I thought it was lame. Even though it’s a good show, good wrestlers, it was lame for a nostalgia ECW thing. The building doesn’t look the same. It’s not the same. It’s not really a reunion or a top-notch thing, without me or Sandman. Both of us or one or the other. It’s kind of a must, I think,” Sabu said. [H/T Fightful.com]

Sabu also shared that Paul Heyman should have been a part of the show.

Sabu is still being active in the world of professional wrestling. Last year, the ECW veteran made a shocking appearance at an episode of AEW Dynamite.
