Eric Bischoff shares his thoughts on the WWE Performance Center and the depth of talent that is training there.
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff appeared on the December 3 episode of WWE NXT. This allowed him to visit the WWE Performance Center for the first time, and he recently shared his thoughts on the experience.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed visiting the WWE Performance Center.
“It was the very first time. I’d been hearing about it for so long, and I’ve been anxious for the opportunity to get down and see it. It’s kind of like a wrestling producer’s dream come true when you can have your training facility, and it’s an extensive training facility. It’s really nice.
“But you’ve got all the access to develop talent at every level, whether it’s in the ring or the gym that they have there, or the opportunity to teach people how to do in-ring promos and behind-the-scenes things, teach them how to do narrative, it’s all right there. It’s such a badass…it’s like the Power Plant 10.0. It’s really, really impressive.”
Eric Bischoff Highligts Quality Of Talent
Bischoff then spoke highly of the talent and how quickly they were learning. He detailed how the young athletes were picking wrestling up so quickly.
“If I start thinking about it, I’ll be shocked still, the quality of talent that is in that Performance Center and the things that they’re capable of doing, with so little time in training, is just mind-boggling. I think we’re gonna probably start seeing, and we’ve already seen it with Bron Breakker and others, you know that that place works, but the quality of talent that I saw in there, the things they were capable of doing…let me give you an example. I was standing there talking to Jeremy Borash, standing in the training facility where the rings were. And there’s eight or dozen people in the ring, and they’re running the ropes and dropping down, jumping over and doing all kinds of stuff, very, very fast-paced. I looked over at Jeremy, I said, ‘How long have these kids been training?’ He said, ‘Four weeks.’ Four weeks?
“The abilities that these kids have been able to develop over such a short period of time is mind-boggling, but so many of them are Division One athletes, men and women, that are being recruited from college athletics, and they’re just picking everything up so quick. They look crisp, they’re all coachable. It really is a trainer’s dream come true. I can see why Shawn Michaels and Jeremy are so excited about it. The guys that are hands-on training the talent there, they have a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to because there’s gonna be some amazing talent coming out of there in the years to come.”
