Trish Stratus addresses her future in wrestling.
March 2025 will mark the 25-year anniversary of Trish Stratus’ pro wrestling debut as a heel, specifically scouting the likes of Test and Prince Albert on WWE Sunday Night Heat. With this milestone in mind, many fans have raised interest in seeing the seven-time champion return to the ring. According to Stratus, though, that possibility remains up in the air as currently finds herself at a personal crossroad.
“I have to be able to deliver a hundred percent,” Stratus told The Takedown on SI . “Then also, it has to be something challenging and different for the fans. And it has to do something and mean something. To leave off on this epic moment that’s memorable and people talk about it, it’s hard. Like, what can top that?”
The “epic moment” in reference came during Stratus’ latest match at WWE’s September 2023 Payback premium live event, where she and Becky Lynch delivered a critically acclaimed performance inside a steel cage. Lynch emerged victorious in this instance, with Stratus putting over her now former protege Zoey Stark in the aftermath.
Looking ahead, Stratus believes she’ll make an appearance of some sort in WWE next year. When it comes to another match, however, Stratus is continuing to assess the potential prospects.
“I think it’s like examining the landscape and seeing what works best for everyone,” Stratus said. “There’s so many parties to consider. The person that is in the storyline, the WWE. It’s really collaborative.”
