Drew McIntyre Explains Why He Targeted Sami Zayn And Jey Uso On WWE RAW

Drew McIntyre returned on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, and he explained his actions the following week.

McIntyre had been absent since WWE Bad Blood, but he appeared at the end of the December 2 episode of WWE RAW and attacked Sami Zayn. Earlier in the show, Jey Uso was attacked backstage, and it was clear that McIntyre was responsible.

Drew McIntyre appeared in a video on the December 9 episode of WWE RAW and commented on his absence. He looked back on his feud with CM Punk, and while he was away, he wondered whether he was wrong and if people could change. McIntyre then brought up WWE Survivor Series. He noted that CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso all teamed up with Roman Reigns.

McIntyre said that Punk took a bribe, but the others sold out for nothing. He said that this moment was when he knew that he had to come back to take out Zayn and Uso. McIntyre stated that he could not change the past, but he could change the present and the future.

The broadcast team also noted that Jey Uso was not cleared to be at the show on Monday after Drew McIntyre attacked him backstage. No further details were immediately provided.
