More two-night WWE Premium Live Events may be on the way, as TKO CEO Mark Shapiro recently commented on the possibility.
WWE WrestleMania previously expanded to a two-night event in 2020. In 2026, SummerSlam will be held across two nights for the first time as well.
TKO CEO Mark Shapiro was asked about other WWE Premium Live Events potentially expanding to two nights while speaking at the UBS Global Media & Communications Conference. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“Definitely opportunities for that. It’s all a progression, a natural evolution,” he said. “WrestleMania was a big hit for us to expand. As you look at all these PLEs, depending the partner, I think there is absolutely an opportunity to advance some of them to two days. We’re in a good place with our storylines.
“The way it weaves through is WrestleMania is the culmination and then a new season begins. You use Raw, SmackDown, Saturday Night’s Main Event, the PLEs to all weave a long form story around multiple storylines and characters driving that discussion and narrative. It also gives us the opportunity to launch new names and bring back names.
Shapiro also praised Triple H and highlighted other WWE stars.
WWE will hold a special Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.
