Hornswoggle reveals he managed to climb the top rope for the first time in seven years recently.
The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has not been in the best shape in recent years. He has had two back surgeries in the last three years. His back issues stem from a surgery when he was four and have plagued him his entire life.
Despite his injuries, Hornswoggle continues to wrestle, as he showed on social media recently.
Speaking on Twitter, Hornswoggle revealed some significance in a recent match he was in. He told fans that he hadn’t been able to climb to the top rope since 2017 when he appeared in the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble.
However, he included a video of him hitting the move at a recent indie show in his home town. He added that there “isn’t a ton left in the tank” but vowed to keep wrestling as long as he can.
“Story time. Because of my weight and shape my body has been in, I haven’t been able to even get to the top rope (IE: Greatest Royal Rumble). Last night, in front of my hometown, I hit the splash for the first time since 2017. I felt “back” in a weird way. There isn’t a ton left in the tank but I’m going to run on fumes as long as I can that’s for sure!”
Hornswoggle Jokingly Calls Vince McMahon His Dad That He Can’t Talk About
Hornswoggle’s recent appearance on The Undertaker’s podcast revealed some information about Vince McMahon.
Speaking on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, Vince McMahon came up in the conversation.
“Hey, that’s my dad that we also can’t talk about anymore either [laughs],” Hornswoggle said. “Can’t talk about that whole thing. Probably the biggest thing that ever happened in my career, and nope.”
The Undertaker quipped that he still talked about “dad”, and he didn’t really care.
