CM Punk Gets A Bad Rap, Claims Curtis Axel

CM Punk is one of the most controversial stars in the world of professional wrestling, but Curtis Axel says the “Voice Of The Voiceless” gets a raw deal.

Many stars and critics have had positive comments about Punk. But at the same time, there are a lot of negative feedback about him as well. Recently, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (Joe Hennig) shared his thoughts on Punk’s reputation.

While speaking on the Monte & The Pharaoh podcast, Curtis Axel shared his thoughts on former WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Axel mentioned that Punk does get a bad reputation. He feels that one of the reasons is because, Punk’s attitude but the attitude is there because he has a lot of self-confidence.

“He does get a bad rap. He helped me out a lot. Like a lot. I’m friends with him. He’s helped me. I’ve been boys with him. We’ve done battles. Bad battles like just Hardcore, all over the… All over the world. And he’s been nothing but help for me and I know where people can say that he has a bad reputation because of his attitude and all kinds of stuff. But you kind of gotta have that with this industry. You have to have that, ‘Just don’t give a hell about whatever.’ And just go and just do you. You have to have that or those…

“If you don’t have your self-confidence and just being like, ‘Hey I’m better than you,’ then you are going to fail. Punk’s always had that. And I have nothing but respect for him. Honestly. Because he’s helped me and I would love to fight him again. We’ve had some battles. And we are [Paul] Heyman guys,” Curtis Axel said.
