WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff says he does not have a Legends Deal with WWE.
Bischoff has made multiple appearances on WWE programming in recent years. He appeared in a video on the November 26 episode of NXT and appeared again in-person the following week. Bischoff then had a prominent on-screen role at MLW One-Shot on December 5. Due to Bischoff’s involvement with WWE, some have speculated that he is signed to the company.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff commented on the speculation that he was on WWE’s payroll.
“I just did two WWE episodes, one on NXT and one on WWE on the A&E network. 24 hours later, I’m on an MLW show, who by the way was in a lawsuit with WWE. Do you think that if I was under contract with WWE, I don’t even have a legends agreement with WWE. I can’t wait for the back paycheck to show up.
“I don’t have a written agreement with anybody, I don’t even have a handshake deal with anybody. If they call and I’m available, and it sounds fun, I’ll show up. That goes to everybody. If TNA were to call me and say, ‘Hey, we’re doing something, we’d like you to show up.’ If it fit into my schedule and it sounded fun, I’ll do it.”
