Trick Williams had a statement win over Ridge Holland tonight at WWE NXT Deadline to retain his championship.
The finish of the match saw Williams hit Holland with Trick Shot to score the pinfall victory.

NXT Championship: Trick Williams (c) vs. Ridge Holland
Holland overpowers Williams right away. He goes for the Redeemer, but Williams counters. They go back and forth. Williams gains the upper hand. He slams Holland into the ring post and gets him back in the ring. Holland gains the upper hand and overpowers Williams. Holland dumps Williams onto the ropes and keeps him grounded. He puts him in the Tree of Woe position and continues to control the action. Williams rallies with a flurry of offense. Williams slams Holland. Holland counters the Trick Shot and slams Williams.
Holland slams Williams again. Williams dodges a dive by Holland and gets a two-count with a kick. Both men are down, as they take a second to regroup. They get up and brawl at ringside, as Holland slams Williams into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Williams goes for a kick, but Holland dodges it, and Williams’ neck gets trapped in the ropes, choking him in the process. Holland gets a two-count with a Redeemer. Williams fires up and hits the Trick Kick and the Trick Shot for the win.
