HENARE has been sidelined with an injury, and the IWGP Tag Team Championships will be vacated.
NJPW announced HENARE has sustained a knee injury, so he was unable to compete at their December 6 event. Further details were not provided in the announcement. In the aftermath of the injury, Great-O-Khan announced that the IWGP Tag Team Championships would be vacated. Additionally, their scheduled match against the Young Bucks at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty has been canceled.
Great-O-Khan and HENARE won the titles by beating TMDK at NJPW Power Struggle on November 4. They were set to defend the gold against the winners of the World Tag League at Wrestle Kingdom 19.
There is currently no word on how new champions will be crowned or who the Young Bucks will now face at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty.
