Penta El Zero Miedo has been removed from the AEW roster page amid rumors of a move to WWE.
This move will come as no surprise to many. The former AEW Tag Team Champion has been long rumoured to be making the jump to the WWE. Especially after cryptically admitting that “AEW is his present” and declining to discuss where his future lies.
Penta El Zero Miedo’s deal was reported to have ended on December 1st, allowing him to leave the company. This seems to have been confirmed by AEW by the roster page on their website.
AEW finally update their roster page on their website. Penta El Zero Miedo has been officially removed, seemingly indicating his exit from AEW. Considering he was one of the early stars of AEW, this is a disappointing roster loss.
However, one person who remains on the page is his brother, Rey Fenix. The luchador should have had his deal end the same time as Penta El Zero Miedo. However, due to injuries suffered during his time in AEW, time has been added onto his contract that has yet to expire.
Neither of the brothers have commented on Rey Fenix’s contract being extended due to injuries. They looked set to sign with the WWE as a pair when they were released and likely secured themselves the largest contract of their career.
However, there is definitely more value in them as a time than as a solo act. It is unknown if Penta El Zero Miedo will sign for WWE now or if he will have to wait until Rey Fenix is released to make the move.
The duo haven’t wrestled together since a win over Private Party in July, while Rey Fenix wrestled Tony Nese just three days later in a singles match.
