James Drake just doesn’t see it.
Jagger Reid was an NXT star who was part of Joe Gacy’s Dyad faction between 2022 and 2023. Reid — who bared an uncanny resemblance to James Drake — left WWE in October 2023, around the same time Drake popped back up on the independent scene.
Drake and Zack Gibson, the Grizzled Young Vets, have since appeared in TNA and AEW, as well as on Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The duo also won the NJPW STRONG Tag Titles at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed in November.
Recently, Drake replied to a fan claiming he looks like Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds. From there, another fan playfully said that Drake looks a lot like Jagger Reid. Drake didn’t buy it, however. He claims Reid actually left the pro wrestling business and took up another interesting career.
“The last I heard, he quit wrestling and moved to Barcelona to study architecture. From what I’ve been told, he spends his nights dancing with the locals,” Drake wrote on Twitter. “I don’t think I look like him, either.”
There you have it. Jagger Reid is in Spain living out his dreams, just like El Generico is alive and running an orphanage in Mexico.
