Michin On WWE Women’s US Title Tournament: This Time Is My Time

It’s Michin‘s time.

Last week, Michin secured her spot in the Women’s United States Championship tournament semi-finals with a win over Lash Legend and Piper Niven. Beyond that, though, Michin ultimately looks to continue advancing her career by becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion. And according to Michin herself, no one will stop her from doing so.

“I have crisscrossed this business trying to earn my shot. I’ve bled and limped and hurt all over the world just so I can break out, just so I can be recognized, just so I could be part of the conversation. And now, while I am on the best roll of my career, the Women’s U.S. Championship Tournament hits me at the right time. And I am starting to wonder if it’s my time, and not because I feel that I deserve it or that I’m due it, but because I can feel the momentum,” Michin said in a video posted to Twitter.

“For the first time in my life, I stopped doubting myself because I can feel the people behind me, dragging me through each match, not giving up on me. So from a woman who never calls her shot, I’m saying this time is my time. It’s all me. To all the women standing in my way, I’m trying to beat you because I have to. But I am willing to end you if I need to.”

Should Michin claim the Women’s United States Championship, it will mark the first title reign of her WWE career. As she points out, though, she must first overcome the remaining tournament competitors.

On the other side of the tournament bracket sits Bayley and Chelsea Green, who will face off in the semi-finals on next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Meanwhile, Michin will now battle either Elektra Lopez, Tiffany Stratton, or Naomi in the semi-finals.
