WWE confirmed the date and venue for its next Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast.
On Wednesday, WWE announced the second of its Saturday Night’s Main Event revival shows will take place on Saturday, January 25 at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The event will air live on NBC at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT and simulcast on Peacock.
WrestleVotes first reported that the next SMNE special would take place on January 25, 2025, which is one week before the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble on February 1. F4WOnline.com‘s Dave Meltzer confirmed the date and also reported that WWE got the event date from NBC, and had to run with it.
Tickets for the Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio will go on sale Friday, December 13 at 11 am ET/10 am CT via Ticketmaster.com. A ticket pre-sale for the event will start on Wednesday, December 11 at 11 am ET/10 am CT. Fans can also register now to receive an exclusive presale offer by visiting WWE’s website.
The San Antonio event marks the second quarterly SMNE primetime special to air on NBC and Peacock. The first will take place on December 14 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York. Both shows are part of WWE’s new five-year domestic media rights partnership with NBCUniversal.
The match card for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on Long Island
Three matches have been confirmed for the December 14 broadcast so far:
Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY
World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Finn Bálor
Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens
WWE will also crown an inaugural WWE Women’s United States Championship on the show; participants for that match have not been determined yet. Bayley and Chelsea Green will meet in a semifinals match on the December 13 episode of SmackDown. The other semifinal, which will also take place on SmackDown, will see Michin face off with the winner of the Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Elektra Lopez match scheduled for December 6.
