Nick Khan comments on WWE‘s relationship with Peacock weeks before their Netflix deal officially begins.
WWE RAW will premiere on Netflix in January. The deal will see Netflix become the home for WWE’s programming for international viewers. Peacock still has the rights in the United States. However, their deal with WWE is set to expire in 2026.
Per Rosy Cordero of Deadline, WWE President Nick Khan commented on WWE’s media rights, regarding their relationship with Peacock, at a media event at Netflix’s headquarters. He stated that they would respect the incumbent’s rights. Khan noted that they would have those talks in 2025.
“Peacock is our incumbent partner, and we’re always going to respect our incumbent’s rights in the relationship we have there,” he said. “So we’ll have those conversations with them in 2025 and we’ll see what shakes up.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
Triple H On WWE Moving To Netflix
At the event, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H also commented on WWE moving to Netflix and called it a game-changer. He highlighted the impact that it could have.
“There was no doubt in my mind,” Triple H said. “As soon as that conversation happened and the first time [streaming] was brought up, in my mind, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, that’s a game changer for us.’ Not only because of the environment, like the reach and how much that can expand our base, but just look at the shows they do. [Look] at the things that they do and the freedom that they have within that. It’s a game changer for us.”
