Kofi Kingston On WWE On Netflix: ‘The Possibilities Are Endless’

Kofi Kingston is very excited for Raw to debut on Netflix.

WWE signed a multi-billion dollar deal with Netflix this year. The move will bring Raw to the streaming service for the first time, while the WWE Network is being absorbed in Netflix in the rest of the world outside of the United States.

This move opens up a wealth of possibilities for the WWE and Kofi Kingston thinks it is a super exciting time to be the WWE.

Kofi Kingston recently spoke with Patriots Pregame Social. They asked about the move to Netflix (H/T to Fightful for the transcription). He said that the possibilities are endless on Netflix and called the move “historic”.

The former WWE Champion added that the wrestling business is comparable to the Attitude Era in terms of interest and ticket sales and mentioned the difficulty in getting comp tickets for the talent in recent weeks.

Wrestlers have reportedly been unhappy at not being able to get tickets for friends and family in recent weeks.

Kofi Kingston On Raw’s Move To Netflix

“I think the possibilities are endless. It’s super exciting. When it’s all said and done, it’s going to be a real historical move. Traditionally, Netflix hasn’t engaged in sports. Now, here we are with WWE, as sports entertainment, we’re kind of walking that line between sports entertainment and introducing sports to Netflix. The possibilities are endless. “

“I don’t know what it’s going to look like, but we’re all super excited about it and it’s going to be amazing. We’re in a super exciting time with wrestling right now. The business is at an Attitude (Era) level of interest and ticket sales. All the shows are sold out. It’s hard to get comp tickets for us, which is a great thing. People are calling me, ‘You’re going to be here for Raw. Can I get some tickets?’ I don’t know that you can. It’s going to be sold out. It’s great to be able to say that. With this Netflix partnership, it’s a super exciting time for us. Everybody on the roster has been clamoring to get out there and do what we do to the highest capacity. It’s going to be awesome,” he said.

Triple H and Nick Khan commented on RAW’s move to Netflix and rumors surrounding a new TV rating, confirming it will still be a family and advertiser-friendly show.
