Axiom and Nathan Frazer will defend the gold at WWE NXT Deadline.
The December 3 episode of WWE NXT featured a #1 Contender’s Tag Team Battle Royal where the winner would earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Deadline.
The Family (Luca Crusifino and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo), OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price), Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang), Josh Briggs and NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura, and No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne and Tavion Heights) competed in the match.
The match came down to Gallus, Hank Walker, and Myles Borne. Both members of Gallus were eliminated, as Hank, Price, and Borne were left by themselves. Borne clotheslined Hank, and Price was eliminated as well as he fell from the top rope, so Borne won the match. As a result, he and Tavion Heights will challenge Axiom and Frazer for the titles at WWE NXT Deadline.
The order of elimination is as follows:
- The Family (Luca Crusifino and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo)
- NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura & Josh Briggs
- Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe
- Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang)
- Hank Walker & Tank Ledger
