Ethan Page found a small amount of joy during his recent trip to SeaWorld.
Page was one of several NXT talents who recently took part in a charity event at the theme park on behalf of WWE. During their excursion, NXT’s The Family stole Page’s phone and humorously documented their trip until Page took it back.
At least this time, Page didn’t have to change his phone number after someone hacked into his accounts on social media.
“My wife thought it was so funny that there was a headline that said ‘Ethan Page gets hacked while eating arepas.’ She’s like, ‘Oh, it’s so great for the Latino culture. Your kids are half-Colombian, look at that!’ Yeah, that’s fantastic — I need a new phone number, babe. Fans are calling me on the phone, saying, ‘Oh it’s actually him!’ and hanging up on me. That was not a good situation at all,” Page said during an interview with WrestleZone.
Ethan Page finds a silver lining at SeaWorld
Page vividly remembers AEW star Nyla Rose calling him to ask if he had seen what happened. Luckily Page got his accounts back from the hacker and moved past the incident. However, he’s still not past what happened at SeaWorld.
“I do want to say this — I was very annoyed. I don’t like to be forced into doing charitable events, I like to choose to do charity. Since coming to WWE, it seems like this company likes to help people and look out for them. It’s very annoying. And I was roped into being one of their ‘volunteers’ and it sucked,” Page remarked.
“But there was a glimmer of hope in the day. One of the SeaWorld employees walked up to me while I was cackling at a kid’s ice cream that fell over. It was awesome, very classic moment,” he recalled. “[The kid] licks the ice cream, [the scoop] falls over and hits the ground, [and there’s] Ethan Page obnoxiously laughing to himself. The SeaWorld employee walks over and says, ‘See, you could actually have fun over here, not like Disney World!’ and walked away. I died laughing even more. I was like, ‘This guy’s bragging to me that Sea World is better than Disney because I can laugh at this poor child?’ The staff at SeaWorld is more evil than ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page.”
Page said that moment itself was glorious, but the day absolutely sucked overall. He’s also not a fan of the “degenerates” that Tony D’Angelo hangs out with. He went as far as saying he wouldn’t even share Thanksgiving dinner with them.
