Alpha Academy Seemingly Change Name To ‘Alpha Babes’

Alpha Academy seemed to have changed its name this week on Raw.

The faction has been struggling with their identity in recent months. After the loss of Chad Gable as their leader they have become more of a comedy group, although the recent rebrand only seems to reaffirm this.

In a backstage promo on Raw, Alpha Academy revealed their new name. Maxxine Dupri revealed they had changed the name to “Alpha Babes” in order to help drive more recruitment for the group.

Alpha Academy appeared in a backstage promo wearing brand-new t-shirts. They showed cartoon versions of the trio with the name “Alpha Babes” in huge letters, indicating the group’s new name.

They discussed the rebranding with R-Truth backstage, revealing the inspiration behind the change. They revealed they had a new commercial to garner more members of the newly-Christened “Alpha Babes”.

“It’s all inspired by Big T’s big win last week.” Maxxine Dupri said, referring to Tozawa pinned Xavier Woods as the group beat The New Day on Raw last week. “We are working on the perfect recruitment ad, so now anybody can join the Alpha Babes. You in?”

“Truth babe – you got to start getting nasty,” Otis added, before he and Maxxine Dupri began to spank Tozawa for some unknown reason as R-Truth looked on uncomfortably.

The new Alpha Babes t-shirt is already available to buy on shop.wwe.com. This would indicate that the group is officially changing their name going forward and the rebranding is not just a one-week storyline.
